A journey through Madrid with 17 themes
The dissemination of cultural heritage in the peripheral districts is one of the objectives of this edition, with guided tours in seven of them: Carabanchel, Ciudad Lineal, Barajas, Fuencarral-El Pardo, Latina, Usera, and Villaverde. In addition, there will be visits to the Paseo del Prado, the Jardines del Buen Retiro, and the Interpretation Center of the «Paisaje de la Luz» (Landscape of Light), located in CentroCentro (Palacio de Cibeles), celebrating its recognition as a World Heritage Site.
In addition to the traditional itinerary of Goya y La Florida, which includes a visit to the Ermita de San Antonio, a new itinerary about Manuela Malasaña and other women will be featured in this season to explore the Malasaña neighborhood through prominent female figures such as Rosalía de Castro or Rosa Chacel. Also, the visit to Casas Consistoriales in Plaza de la Villa will allow you to explore the historical stages of the Madrid City Council through the rooms of the Casa de la Villa and the Casa de Cisneros.
Two new guided itineraries
This season of Pasea Madrid 2025 introduces two new visits: Goya y la Real Academia and La Quinta de la Fuente del Berro. In the first one, the public will have the opportunity to discover Goya’s graphic series, one of the most significant episodes in universal art history. Visitors can explore the new Gabinete Francisco de Goya at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, where all his graphic series plates (Caprichos, Desastres de la Guerra, Tauromaquias, and Disparates) are exhibited in their original copper appearance, after the removal of the galvanic coatings from the mid-19th century.
The visit to La Quinta de la Fuente del Berro will take you through this iconic garden in the Salamanca neighborhood, located on the grounds of what was originally the Quinta de Miraflores, commissioned by Felipe IV as a new Royal Site. This space offers a landscaped garden, meadows crossed by winding paths, rustic stone stairs, and a rich variety of trees. Among the highlights are the monument to Bécquer, the statue dedicated to the poet Pushkin, fountains, waterfalls, a couple of small ponds, and a small palace that reflects the original purpose of the estate.
