Convocada la XXIII edición de los Premios Quevedos-Dos de Humor Gráfico: Gigantes y Cabezudos

The City Council of Alcalá de Henares, through the Department of Education, and the Quevedo Institute of Humor Arts of the General Foundation of the University of Alcalá have announced the XXIII edition of the Quevedos-Dos Awards, promoted by the CEIP Francisco de Quevedo and aimed at students enrolled in Primary Education, Secondary Education, and Basic Vocational Training centers in the Community of Madrid, as well as centers in the city of Guadalajara and other Autonomous Communities expressly invited to participate by the organization, with the aim of promoting their critical spirit and creativity.

 

The deadline for receiving entries is April 30, 2025. The works must be original and presented in DIN-A4 format, in a single drawing or a maximum of four panels. The technique is free.

 

The Councilor for Education, Lola López, has explained that «the theme of the works will be about the Giants and Big Heads, on the occasion of the celebration of 500 years since there is documentary evidence of the existence of the Giants and Big Heads parade in the city.»

 

The address to which the works must be sent is CEIP Francisco de Quevedo, PO Box 305 (Alcalá de Henares); hand delivery at the center itself (C/ San Vidal, 8), or by email: premioquevedos2@iqh.es

 

For this contest, five categories are established, ranging from 1st Primary Education to 4th Secondary Education and Basic Vocational Training.

 

In addition, the cash prize will range from 50 euros for the second prize in the first category to 250 euros for the winner of the category of students in 3rd and 4th Secondary Education and Basic Vocational Training.
