Nuevo recorrido de la línea 159 de autobús en Alcobendas

The Interurban bus line 159, which covers the route Madrid (Plaza Castilla) – Alcobendas (Arroyo de la Vega), has already started its new route, extending to the residential area of El Juncal in the Urbanizations District, thanks to an agreement between the City Council and the Regional Transport Consortium.

The Mayor of Alcobendas, Rocío García Alcántara, the Councilor for Security, Civil Protection, Emergencies and Mobility, Carlos Rodrigo, and the Councilor of the Urbanizations District, Cristina Capdevilla, have personally verified, along with Miguel Ángel Blázquez, CEO of the INTERBÚS Group, the new route that meets the high demand in the business area of Soto de la Moraleja, on Avenida de Bruselas, as well as on Avenida de la Vega following the urban growth of the area and the presence of the European University located on Calle Fernando Alonso.

New route and three new stops
From now on, Line 159 will enter Soto de la Moraleja through Caléndula Street, serving the business developments on Avenida de Bruselas and Avenida del Arroyo de la Vega, and will make the return journey by turning at the intersection roundabout of Avenida de la Vega with Avenida de la Transición Española.

The new extension will travel within the El Juncal neighborhood, along Avenida de Rafa Nadal, with two stops, continuing on Avenida de Fernando Alonso, adding one more new stop in front of the European University and the entrance to the Municipal Sports Center José Caballero in Alcobendas. It will then take Avenida de la Transición Española to continue with its usual route.

Line 159 now connects with the capital, serving the residents of El Juncal, as well as students, teachers, and workers of the European University of Madrid and employees of Parque Omega.
