The Carnival Dance for seniors, which is taking place at La Esfera today, Wednesday, February 26th starting at 5 pm, marks the beginning of Carnival celebrations in Alcobendas. From there, we will enjoy days filled with costumes, music, workshops, parades… before the arrival of Lent.
On Friday, February 28th, at 9:30 pm, the Grand Carnival Party will be held at La Esfera. It is free and will be hosted by Dj Toni Peret and Dj Sara from Kiss FM, with prizes for the best costumes.
And on Saturday, March 1st, a colorful procession of costumes, entertainment, music, and joy will parade through the city in the Grand Carnival Parade, starting from Plaza Mayor at 5:30 pm. Prior to the start, there will be makeup workshops for children at Plaza Mayor starting at 4 pm.
The Bloco do Baliza association will contribute with a special event by organizing Open Brazilian Percussion Classes on Wednesday, March 5th, from 8 to 9 pm at their headquarters (c/ San José Artesano, 7).
And, of course, as the grand finale, the traditional Burial of the Sardine will take place on the same day, starting from Plaza del Milagro de la Virgen de la Paz at 7 pm.
