El Alcalde de Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, ha presenciado la exhibición de la unidad canina de la Policía Municipal en el centro de adiestramiento del Parque Prado Ovejero.
También estuvieron presentes en el evento el Primer Teniente de Alcalde y Concejal de Seguridad, Emergencias y Medio Ambiente, Gabriel Monteserín; la Concejal de Contratación, Mayores y Bienestar Social, Raquel Guerrero; y la Concejal de Educación y Festejos, Cristina Molina.
Además de los miembros de Afanias y los mayores de los centros municipales, quienes pudieron observar las habilidades de los agentes caninos en una demostración práctica de sus funciones.
Esta exhibición fue posible gracias al programa de «Exhibiciones Caninas» realizado por la Escuela de Seguridad de la Policía Municipal de Móstoles en colaboración con la Concejalía de Seguridad, Emergencias y Medio Ambiente del Ayuntamiento.
El centro de adiestramiento de Prado Ovejero ofrece una exhibición de la Unidad Canina una vez al mes, dirigida a diferentes grupos de la comunidad.
La asociación de familias Afanias, fundada en 1964, trabaja para ser un referente en discapacidad intelectual, facilitando la autonomía y calidad de vida de las personas con discapacidad intelectual y sus familias.
