Parla is getting ready for a new event, the third edition of the Craft Fair. It will take place on May 24th, at the Parque del Universo in Parla Este. Artisan shops in the city interested in participating in this initiative by the Department of Commerce, through the Center for Business Initiatives, can register until May 16th.
The Parla City Council, through the Center for Business Initiatives, is launching a new project to support and promote local commerce. This time, the focus is on establishments dedicated to the sale of artisan products and services. This year, the Craft Fair will also feature activities for all audiences.
The Councilor for Commerce, Gema García Torres, emphasizes that «from the Center for Business Initiatives, we encourage the establishments in our city dedicated to artisan activities to register for this commercial revitalization campaign, with which we aim to continue promoting and supporting our local commerce, while trying to boost local trade.»
Support for small businesses, specifically in the artisan sector

The initiative is aimed at businesses with a physical presence in Parla or online businesses with a legal base in Parla. Only those that make and sell their own artisan products, as well as the necessary materials for their production, can participate (businesses that, even if they have the necessary materials for craftsmanship and crafts, do not sell the final artisan product in their store, cannot participate in the fair).
Registered businesses must comply with and keep current the advertising and signage provided by the CIE during the campaign. Additionally, with prior information and authorization from the CIE, they can conduct demonstrations or workshops at their stands during the fair.
