Premios Rock Villa de Madrid celebra nuevos talentos en Las Vistillas

Once again, the gardens of Las Vistillas became the stage for the Rock Villa de Madrid Awards, organized by the Department of Culture, Tourism, and Sports, in collaboration with Radio 3 and the Society of Artists, Performers, and Executants (AIE). As part of the San Isidro Festivities, the awards were handed out to the winners of the 45th edition, reaffirming its position as a reference platform for new talents, with nearly 1,000 participants and a significant female representation.

The competition, with a prize of 10,000 euros, recognizes interpretative quality, innovation, compositional creativity, and the potential for artists’ projection within the music industry. Institutional support has led to a noticeable increase in artistic standards, with the majority of groups composed of young people under 25 years old and a significant rise in proposals in urban and electronic music genres, reflecting the new trends shaping the current music scene.

Paco Pecado, cryymm, and mariagrep were the recipients of the top three prizes. The awards were completed by Cholo Chicha and Las Dianas, winners of the AIE and Radio 3 Awards, respectively. Before the awards ceremony, the three winning groups performed in front of a large audience at Las Vistillas.

The stage was opened by mariagrep, a Galician artist and third-place finisher, with her unique urban melodic style. She was followed by cryymm, the second-place winner, a Venezuelan musician based in Madrid who blends punk rock and techno tropical. The day was concluded by Paco Pecado, the winner of this edition, a contemporary troubadour with roots in La Mancha who captivated both the jury and the audience with his distinctive proposal.
