Torrejón de Ardoz mejora medios técnicos de policía local

The city of Torrejón de Ardoz continues to improve the technical resources of the local police force with the purchase of three cars and four motorcycles equipped with the latest technology. The mayor, Alejandro Navarro Priesto, the security councilor, Alberto Cantalejo, and the chief commissioner of the local police, Miguel Parra, presented the new vehicles this morning at the mayor’s Plaza.

Torrejón de Ardoz, February 4, 2025. Two of the cars are high-powered BMW police vehicles, meeting the wolf community in Madrid for police vehicles. They are equipped with LED lighting and priority signaling.

The labeling of the police vehicles allows visibility up to 700 meters away, enhancing police interventions, and the latest light indicators allow the use of a double panel with independent light labeling for each of the two sides.

In addition, these cars are equipped with a defibrillator, a first aid kit, and all the necessary equipment and tools for the service they will provide such as signaling cones, LED beacons, extinguishing, police tape, cutting, nail bar, hammer, road signs, etc.

The third vehicle is a camouflaged vehicle that has not been publicly presented to avoid hindering its activity.

On the other hand, the 4 motorcycles are suitable for Urban Police, complying with European Union regulations, and are labeled with high visibility. They are versatile for traffic safety and citizen security. As a novelty, they are equipped with recording rooms to document police interventions.

The mayor stated, «The safety of citizens is a priority for this mayor and the team of the local administration, and this investment is another step in this regard, as it aims to improve safety and coexistence in our city, staying in constant contact with residents. Therefore, we provide various resources, such as these vehicles, to our local police.»

Alejandro Navarro recalled that «this new investment contributes to the ongoing decline, in recent years, in crime, which has positioned Torrejón de Ardoz as one of the safest cities in the Madrid community, according to data from the Ministry of the Interior of the Government of Spain.»
