South Summit concludes its XIV edition at La Nave with over 20,000 attendees, startups, and investors. Under the theme ‘In Motion,’ this edition has focused on creating a movement of impact involving all players in the innovative ecosystem.
Engracia Hidalgo, delegate of Economy, Innovation, and Finance, awarded the first prize to the winning startup in that category during the final of Startup Competition 25 held this morning. Among the finalists by verticals, seven startups from the entrepreneurship programs of the City Council were found, with Hoop Carpool, a former participant in the La Nave acceleration program, emerging as the winner in the mobility and smart cities category.
In total, 85 entrepreneurs from the network of municipal centers Madrid Emprende and Madrid Innovation had the opportunity to showcase their projects to hundreds of investors and all ecosystem players who gathered in the capital from June 4 to 6.
This morning, the delegate councilor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Ángel Niño, presented the sandbox ordinance to the attendees, allowing for the hosting of the first tests of projects and prototypes in controlled urban environments by the end of the year.
