CELEBRATIONS
- Free and open-air shows starting on Friday at El Carrascal, next to the Fuente de Grecia, featuring David DeMaría, preceded by the incredible voice of Irenne, and the flamenco of Cristian Montero and Grupo DBureo.
- On Saturday from noon at Arroyo Culebro (Plaza Alcalde Matheo Luaces) there will be concerts by Luis Polo, the family show of La Banda Mocosa, and Tell Mama Band and MetroRock during the aperitif hour.
- And on Saturday afternoon ‘Leganés Suena’ will arrive at Plaza Mayor, with the local talent of ‘Sin Salida’ and Xure, and the evening closure with the pop rock of De Rancho and the tribute to Alejandro Sanz by Fran Valenzuela.
‘Leganés Suena’ is here. The new music festival with free and open-air concerts in different neighborhoods of the city will start this Friday at El Carrascal with David DeMaría as the main attraction. On Saturday from noon at Arroyo Culebro there will be concerts and a family show with La Banda Mocosa; and the closure will come in the late afternoon with the local talent of ‘Sin Salida’ and Xure and the tribute to Alejandro Sanz by Fran Valenzuela.
‘Leganés Suena’ is born with the aim of bringing life to the neighborhoods of the municipality, promoting local talent, and offering accessible, attractive, and quality cultural proposals for all audiences.
Friday at El Carrascal: David DeMaría
The festival will kick off on Friday, June 13 at 8:00 p.m. at El Carrascal, with an evening dedicated to flamenco, rumba, and fusion. The lineup is led by David DeMaría, an artist with a recognized career of over 25 years, who will perform as the highlight of this first day at 11:30 p.m. on the boulevard of El Carrascal (Avenida Juan Carlos I), next to the Fuente de Grecia.
The stage will be opened by the incredible voice of Irenne (8:00 p.m.), a young singer and composer from Leganés who is starting to stand out in the music venues of Madrid for her unique and personal style. She will be followed by Cristian Montero (9:00 p.m.), a copla and flamenco singer with a great voice who was a finalist on Got Talent; and then DBureo, a flamenco group that regularly performs in renowned spaces like Platea Madrid.
Saturday at Arroyo Culebro: Concerts for the Family Audience
On Saturday morning, the festival moves to Arroyo Culebro, at Plaza Alcalde Matheo Luaces, with a lineup during the aperitif hour designed for the family audience. From noon, there will be animation and water games to refresh the little ones.
The day will start with La Banda Mocosa (11:30 a.m.), with a show that will make the little ones sing and dance. At 12:30 p.m., Luis Polo, a regular artist at Starlite, will perform; followed by Tell Mama Band (1:15 p.m.), a powerful band that brings back the best of soul and funk. And during the aperitif hour, Metrorock (2:30 p.m.), a cover band that will go through great hits of national and international rock: Fito y Fitipaldis, Loquillo, Bon Jovi…
Plaza Mayor: Local Artists like ‘Sin Salida’, Xure, and Valenzuela
And the Plaza Mayor will be the final stage of the festival on Saturday evening, with a great event dedicated to pop-rock, indie, and local talent. ‘Sin Salida’ (6:00 p.m.) and Xure (8:00 p.m.), two artists sponsored by Dejóvenes, will perform. Xure, winner of the «Leganés a Ritmo Joven» contest, is one of the most prominent emerging artists in the municipality, with a repertoire that is already part of the soundtrack of many residents.
The night will be completed by De Rancho (10:00 p.m.), with a vibrant live performance and catchy pop-rock songs; Austin (11:45 p.m.), an amazing voice that has performed ‘Cruz de Navajas’, and Fran Valenzuela (12:30 a.m.), with his acclaimed tribute to Alejandro Sanz.
