The Majadahonda Town Hall will celebrate the II edition of the Water Festival on Saturday, June 14th, an opportunity to welcome the summer and the opening of the summer pool, which will be free until 13:30.
The Majadahonda citizens can enjoy a day of swimming from 10 am to 2 pm, along with various inflatable attractions for the little ones, recommended for ages between 5 and 12.
Majadahonda paves over 250 streets this week
The idea to celebrate a Water Festival came from a girl in the city, Carmen, who wrote a letter to the mayor, Lola Moreno, so that all children could enjoy the arrival of summer and cool off.
The response was this celebration now in its second edition, coinciding this year with the opening of the municipal summer pool at the Huerta Vieja facilities.

The water park will open its doors next Saturday at 10 am with two giant slides and Splash, an activity where good aim is rewarded with a splash. The day will be completely free, with open access until the facilities reach capacity.
The Councilor for Citizen Services and Festivities, Ignacio Silván, stated, «We want this initiative, born from Carmen’s gesture of solidarity, to become a gift from the city to all children of Majadahonda and their families. A moment to enjoy water and relaxation as the school year comes to an end. This year, we also wanted the festival to coincide with the opening of the summer pool.»
