Fiestas de San Isidro 2025 en Alcobendas: Programa y Seguridad

This afternoon marks the beginning of the ‘San Isidro 2025 Festival’ in our city with the lighting of the Recinto Ferial del Parque de Andalucía at 21:15, accompanied by a fun music and entertainment session with DJ Pulpo starting at 20:30.

The acting mayor, Marta Martín, and the Culture councillor, María José Ortiz, will once again seek the help of some of the children present to illuminate the entrance of the venue and kick off five days of a popular celebration dedicated to families, with a full program of activities for all ages.

There will be 14 free concerts for all tastes, featuring big acts such as Los Secretos, Fangoria, Malmö 40, Encanto de Loco (tribute to El Canto del Loco), Walls, and the Vulkano Orchestra. Additionally, there will be dance parties, performances, theater, and plenty of sports. Following last year’s success, Sunday, May 18, will be celebrated as ‘Family Day’ where parents, grandparents, grandchildren, and more can enjoy a lovely day with shows, face painting, balloon twisting, a motorcycle exhibition, and, as a new addition, special prices on attractions and a ‘Great popular paella’ for over a thousand people.

The fireworks have been postponed until 24 hours on Saturday, May 17 (early Sunday morning) due to the weather forecast by AEMET, and that’s when the sky of Alcobendas will light up with color and light.

Safe and Clean Festivities

Residents and visitors can enjoy safe festivities thanks to the security and emergency operation that includes over 150 Local Police officers, as well as National Police officers and members of the Civil Protection Volunteer Group.

Additionally, for the first time, there will be a drone with a people concentration calculator to prevent overcrowding and, in the children’s attractions area, a Local Police station, a field hospital, SEMURA ambulances operational 24 hours, a Mobile Citizen Assistance Office from the Local Police, 24-hour video surveillance, and the assistance of the K-9 unit.

To ease parents’ minds, identification bracelets will be provided for minors at the Civil Protection Assistance Point.

Cleaning efforts will also be enhanced during the festival days with more resources and personnel as part of a special waste collection and cleaning operation that will use over 150 containers of various sizes to promote waste separation and recycling of packaging, paper, cardboard, and glass. Each morning, the venue will be swept and mechanically washed.

More Booths and Associations

The City Council has expanded the number of booths to thirty-one, featuring regional houses, sports clubs, associations, groups, and political parties where, at affordable prices, visitors can enjoy tasty tapas and sandwiches with friends and family.

You will also find the Imagina Kids booth, a large entertainment space for children with workshops (pot decoration, leaf stamping, fans, photo frames…), storytelling, games, treasure hunts, dance battles, and more. All activities are free, with prior registration available an hour before at the booth itself.

Younger visitors will have their own tent closer to the main stage, with the Youth Council and the Purple Point against sexual assaults.

Festivities for Everyone

Catering to all, there will be two noise-free days for individuals with sensory sensitivities to enjoy the attractions, a booth with gluten-free products for those with intolerances and a breastfeeding booth to facilitate feeding for the little ones.

The festivals will remain sustainable thanks to an agreement between the City Council and the For The Best World Foundation, allowing booths to have reusable cups that can be purchased with a symbolic deposit, and will promote a campaign to raise awareness about responsible alcohol consumption.

The ‘Drugs and You Bus’, a mobile service from the General Directorate of Public Health of the Community of Madrid, will be set up on Friday, May 16, from 17:00 to 22:00, at the fairground. On that same day, from 16:00 to 18:00, no alcohol will be sold at any booth at the fairground, and on Saturday, May 17, from 21:00 to 24:00, the ‘Sales Today’ campaign will be conducted to raise awareness about alcohol consumption among young people and teenagers.

The festival program can be found on the municipal website alcobendas.org and the City’s social media platforms (Instagram, X, and Facebook) will provide relevant information and notify of any significant changes in the schedule.
