A 57-year-old worker died on Monday after an iron plate fell on him at a construction site in the municipality of Majadahonda in Madrid.
The victim suffered a cardiac arrest that could not be reversed by the Summa112 teams, who performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation for over 45 minutes, as reported by Emergencias 112 Comunidad de Madrid.
A psychologist on duty attended to several colleagues of the worker who witnessed the incident and experienced anxiety crises.

The Guardia Civil has taken over the investigation of the accident, which occurred after midday at number 48 on the road to Pozuelo de Alarcón.
RESCUE IN CHAMBERÍ
Also on Monday, a worker was injured after a concrete block weighing over 1,000 kilograms fell on him while performing sewerage work in the Chamberí district of Madrid.
The man had to be rescued by five units of the Madrid Fire Department who worked for over an hour to free him, as reported by Emergencias Madrid.

Once safe, medical professionals from Samur-Protección Civil treated him for a tibia fracture and various bruises, transferring him in moderate condition to Hospital Clínico San Carlos.
The Madrid Municipal Police took charge of the investigation into the incident, which took place at number 34 on Calle Joaquín María López.
