El Ayuntamiento de Móstoles sigue implementando acciones de apoyo a la Red contra la Soledad No Deseada para abordar de manera efectiva este problema y concienciar a la sociedad. La concejal de Contratación, Mayores y Bienestar Social, Raquel Guerrero, ha visitado el Mural contra la Soledad No Deseada en el Centro de Mayores Juan XXIII, en el contexto de la I Semana de sensibilización de Mayores y Soledad. Además, Móstoles ha participado en el IV Encuentro de Entidades de la Red de Atención a Mayores en Soledad, donde se presentaron nuevos municipios integrantes, incluido Móstoles. Otras iniciativas incluyen la instalación de un banco rojo en la Plaza del Pradillo y la participación en la XXXIV Semana Cultural de los Centros de Mayores en Móstoles.

The Móstoles City Council installed a mural at the Juan XXIII Senior Center as part of the I Week of Sensitization for Seniors and Loneliness. They also participated in the institutional act of the IV Meeting of Entities of the Elderly Loneliness Care Network, of which Móstoles is a part.

The City Council of Móstoles continues to take actions to address Unwanted Loneliness effectively and raise awareness in society. The Councilor of Contracts, Seniors, and Social Welfare, Raquel Guerrero, visited the Mural against Unwanted Loneliness at the Juan XXIII Senior Center. This initiative is part of the I Week of Seniors and Loneliness Sensitization, which took place from May 26th to May 30th. The hashtag for this event is #RedMayoresEnCompañía, with the motto «Building a Network to Stop Loneliness» to promote support for seniors experiencing loneliness.

Additionally, the City Council of Móstoles had a presence at the IV Meeting of Entities of the Elderly Loneliness Care Network, organized by the Ministry of Family, Youth, and Social Affairs. At this event, new municipalities, including Móstoles, were introduced as part of the network.

In collaboration with Cruz Roja, the City Council of Móstoles previously installed a red bench in Plaza del Pradillo with a plaque that reads «Let’s build community» to foster moments of connection and prevent loneliness. This initiative was inaugurated on May 16th.

The mural against Unwanted Loneliness is also part of the activities organized during the XXXIV Cultural Week of Senior Centers in Móstoles, held from May 26th to May 30th. The week concluded with the award ceremony for winners of various contests held at municipal senior centers.

The activities included a quick painting contest at the El Soto Municipal Senior Center, a Patchwork contest at the Coimbra Municipal Senior Center, and a Chess Championship at the La Princesa Municipal Senior Center. The Juan XXIII Municipal Senior Center also hosted a Billiards Championship, the I Croquette Gastronomy Contest, the I Photography Contest, and the III Micro-story Contest.

The performance by the Caña Rociera group from the Juan XXIII Municipal Senior Center provided music and joy as the closing act of the cultural week at senior centers in Móstoles.

Likewise, the Móstoles City Council was represented at the IV Meeting of Entities of the Loneliness Elderly Care Network, promoted by the Ministry of Family, Youth, and Social Affairs, in the institutional event where the new participating municipalities were presented, including Móstoles.

The Móstoles City Council previously collaborated with the Red Cross through the CRECE Project to install a red bench in Pradillo Square with a plaque that reads «Let’s build community» to share moments and ensure no one feels alone, inaugurated on May 16.

The Mural against Unwanted Loneliness is also part of the events organized during the XXXIV Cultural Week of Senior Centers in Móstoles, held from May 26 to 30, which concluded today with the awarding of prizes and diplomas to the winners of the various contests organized in municipal senior centers.
