The Móstoles City Council, in collaboration with the Madrid Cycling Federation and CDE El Pelotón, is organizing an event on an urban circuit between 6 and 8 km, mainly along different streets in Móstoles Sur.
This first Grand Prix Cyclist will feature the participation of 200 cyclists in adapted cycling, female and male categories. The event will take place on June 8th, with three races for paralympic cycling, female cycling, and elite and sub-23 male cycling.
Cycling returns to Móstoles, a candidate for European City of Sport 2026, with the I Grand Prix Cyclist Ciudad de Móstoles on June 8th. The competition, sponsored by the Móstoles City Council, the Madrid Cycling Federation, and CDE El Pelotón, will showcase values of effort and overcoming challenges.
The event will include three races on the circuit, ranging from 6 to 8 kilometers, tailored to each category. The races will provide excitement and entertainment for spectators from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The day will start with the adapted cycling race for tricycle, handbike, tandem, and adapted bike categories. This will be followed by the female cycling race and then the elite and sub-23 male race.
Mayor Manuel Bautista highlighted the significance of hosting a cycling competition in Móstoles, emphasizing the city’s commitment to promoting various sports and inclusivity. El domingo 8 de junio se llevará a cabo la primera edición del Gran Premio Ciclista Ciudad de Móstoles, que incluirá tres pruebas destinadas al ciclismo paralímpico, femenino y masculino élite y sub-23. Patrocinado por el Ayuntamiento de Móstoles a través de la Concejalía de Deportes y Sanidad, con la colaboración de la Federación Madrileña de Ciclismo y la organización del CDE El Pelotón.
Este evento deportivo, que se realizará por primera vez en el municipio, contará con tres carreras en una jornada que fomenta los valores de esfuerzo y superación. Las pruebas consistirán en dar un número de vueltas al circuito de entre 6 y 8 kilómetros, adaptado a cada categoría.
Desde las 9:00 h hasta las 15:00 h del 8 de junio, el público podrá disfrutar de la emoción de la competición en Móstoles. La jornada comenzará con la carrera de ciclismo adaptado a las 9:00 h, seguida por la prueba femenina a las 10:00 h y finalizando con la competición masculina a las 12:00 h.
El Alcalde de Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, ha resaltado la importancia de este evento para la promoción del deporte en la ciudad y el impulso a la candidatura de Móstoles como Ciudad Europea del Deporte 2026.
