An unusual accident at the Majadahonda cemetery: an SUV ended up embedded in one of the cemetery walls. The impact was so strong that it knocked down the wall and even damaged the marble of several tombs.
The driver explained that everything happened because he mistakenly shifted gears: he wanted to go in reverse, but mistakenly – as he stated – shifted gears and the car ended up crashing into the wall. The driver is a septuagenarian who had parked his car in front of the cemetery.

When he tried to start the vehicle, which is automatic, he made a mistake and put it in drive instead of reverse. The car jumped the curb and crashed into the cemetery wall, breaking several tombstones.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was attended to at the scene.
