Celebración del Día Mundial de los Derechos de los Consumidores en Alcobendas

March 15th is celebrated as World Consumer Rights Day. This date serves to raise awareness of the importance of protecting our interests. The Municipal Consumer Service has been doing this since 1983 by educating consumers and resolving their complaints through the Municipal Consumer Information Office (OMIC) and the Consumer Arbitration Board. In addition, municipal consumer inspectors ensure that all products placed for sale are safe.

To commemorate this day, the City Council has prepared a Grand Celebration for World Consumer Rights Day, this Saturday, March 15th, from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm, at La Esfera. Both children and adults can enjoy numerous activities accompanied by the party mascot, Bee Rufina, and two magicians.

For the little ones, there will be traditional games (fishing for fish, frog jumping, ring toss, paddle foosball, and turtle race), crafts, and a bouncy castle.

Adults can create sachets with aromas and bracelets with recycled materials. They can also learn how to decorate a garden or build a solar-powered oven. In the cooking school, they will learn to eat healthily by cooking a mini croissant, which they can then consume. There will also be a photo booth with the option to print photos on paper. At the party, we will have vehicles from the Local Police, Civil Protection Service, and Alcobendas Fire Department.

Furthermore, adults can address their queries about consumer rights at the information booth set up inside La Esfera.
