This year, as a novelty, a new night circular line will provide service during the celebration of the Popular Festivities. Until June 24, a new night circular line will operate until 4:00 a.m. to facilitate the transportation of residents attending the Fairground, with the nearest stop being Plaza de España. It is the 1B Circular Torrejón line, operating with two buses with a frequency of 30 minutes. Additionally, on Friday and Saturday nights, an extra bus will be added to reduce wait times to 20 minutes.
There are also significant updates in the Concert Venue with the creation of 4 entrances, more emergency exits, increased capacity, new bathrooms in the bar area, which is also being renovated, and more bathrooms and another bar in the viewpoint-gazebo on the hillside, which with its lawn is the quietest area to watch the concerts and the one we recommend for families with children.
We advise everyone to arrive at the concerts with enough time since this year the invitations are nominative and non-transferable to prevent resale, so waiting time to access the venue is expected.
Additionally, new bathrooms have been built in the Fairground and Peñas Street and a canopy of awnings has been placed on Tapas Street and Marcha Street. The quiet hour for people with autism and auditory hypersensitivity will also be extended on Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
We are enhancing the Security Plan throughout the Fairground and Peñas area to enjoy the festivities peacefully with a large number of police and healthcare personnel who will ensure our safety. However, we must not forget the self-protection rules, such as keeping an eye on personal belongings (phones, bags, wallets, jackets…) especially in the lake area for the younger visitors and ensuring they do not stay alone at late hours of the night and always use the main routes.
We will also have a Violet Point + Rainbow Point for a festival free from sexual assaults and LGBTIphobia. It will be located next to the Security Pavilion of the Fairground today, Sunday, and tomorrow, Monday from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. In the Day Fair, it will be open today, Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Finally, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to the groups, associations, local and national police, Civil Protection volunteers, healthcare services, municipal workers, and the Bullfighting Advisory Council for the tremendous work they do. Thanks to all of them for their efforts because without them, we could not enjoy and have fun at our festivals as usual.
