The Alcobendas City Council has once again been awarded the prestigious ‘Infoparticipa Seal’, a distinction granted by the ComSET Research Group (Sound Communication, Strategic and Transparency) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), certifying the commitment of municipalities to institutional transparency.
The Councilor for Digital Transformation, Transparency, and Citizen Services, Belén Fernández Salinero, was responsible for receiving the award during the ceremony held on Tuesday, June 3, at the Galapagar City Hall.
In this way, our city council solidifies its position as one of the most transparent local administrations in Spain, reaffirming its commitment as an open, modern, efficient, and participatory administration.
100% Compliance with 52 Indicators
Out of the 179 municipalities evaluated in the Community of Madrid, only five have managed to achieve 100% compliance with the 52 established indicators that measure the quality and transparency of information published on the municipal website: Alcobendas, Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Las Rozas, and Torrejón de Ardoz.
Experts from the UAB research group analyze in detail each of these indicators, covering aspects related to political representatives, management of collective and economic resources, information provided about the municipality, tools for citizen participation, periodic updating of content, and ease of navigation on the website, among others.
Furthermore, this prestigious seal not only recognizes the technical compliance with transparency criteria but also highlights the ethical and political effort to build a public administration based on accountability, continuous improvement, and democratic participation.
