The Councilor of Education, Lola López, has attended today along with representatives from the educational centers of the city and FAMPA, to the event organized to commemorate the Day of the Book named «Te doy mi palabra».
This is an initiative of the Council in which 15 centers of the city have participated. Each participating school has chosen a word with a special meaning for their educational community and has accompanied it with a drawing or an image.
The participating centers have been CC Ana Pellegrini with the word «Freedom», CEIP Beatriz Galindo with «Fantasy», CEIP Cervantes with «Cuentea», CEIP Daoiz y Velarde with «Horizon», CC Escuelas Pías with «Everlasting», CEIP García Lorca with «Works», Colegio Gredos San Diego with «Life», CEIP Infanta Catalina with «Water», CC Lope de Vega with «Light», CEIP Luis Vives with «Imagination», CEIP Miguel Hernández with «Námana» («friend» in Malagasy language), CPEE Pablo Picasso with «Visible», CC Sagrado Corazón with «Freedom», CC San Gabriel with «Passion», and CEIP Nuestra Señora del Val with «Inspiration».
The Councilor of Education wanted to «thank all the educational centers that have participated by contributing their word and their creative works.
From the Council, we encourage them to continue promoting reading as a fundamental part of education».
Each participating center has received a poster with their word and a set of books for their library.
